Abilities and development
Like any other class featured in the War of the Chosen expansion, shooters have access to three different skills. The following table shows all the available abilities of this class.
Marauder shots have no end of turn, allowing you to shoot and move or shoot twice during the same round.
Judgment - Allows a soldier to use a Grapple to pull out an enemy and land a ripjack.
Grappling - allows a soldier to use a grappling hook to climb a raised platform.
Reflex - when shooting, the soldier will receive one additional action in the next turn. It is triggered once per mission.
Total Combat - throwing a grenade or using an item no longer ends the turn.
Anger - allows you to use a grappling hook to pull yourself towards an enemy and inflict damage with a ripjack hit.
Zero In - subsequent shots on the same turn give +10 to the critical chance. When used against the same target, they also give a +10 chance of hitting.
Whiplash - allows you to attack an opponent with an electric shock. This attack is not worth the action. The attack can be used once during a mission.
Full Throttle - Skirmisher gets +2 mobility for every kill during the same round. The bonus disappears with the start of a new round.
Retribution - The Reaper lands a ripjack free kick on any enemy that enters melee or attacks from melee.
Combat Presence - gives an extra action point to a teammate.
Reckoning - unlocks the ripjack attack. Recharge for 5 turns.
Interruption is a type of Overwatch mode. Once triggered, the player can perform any action with the Shooter instead of shooting at the enemy. The ability can be used once during a mission.
Judgment - The enemy has a chance to panic whenever he/she makes an attack on the shooter.
Battlelord - After each enemy in the line of sight performs an action, take immediate action. It can be used once during a mission and lasts for 1 turn.
Manual Overdrive - reduces the cooldown of all Skirmisher abilities by 1 turn. This is not the end of a soldier's queue.
Note - remember that the shooters have access to many of the abilities of the rest of the XCOM soldiers (mostly from the Hunter class, but also from the Sniper).
